Hello church! Welcome to our website; yes we really do have one. Here, we’ll keep you updated about events such as this and many others we have in the pipeline.
So what is this about? As a church in Hamilton, we decided to visit our local food bank, the Hamilton District Food Bank to see how we could help out. One of our 2024 goals as a church is to have more impact within our community. The bible says in Titus 3:14 ‘Encourage the believers to be passionately devoted to beautiful works of righteousness by meeting the urgent needs of others and not be unfruitful’. Simply put, meeting the needs of others makes us fruitful.
A bit of background. Hamilton District Food Bank was seeded by The Trussell Trust who runs the largest network of food banks in the UK, giving emergency food and support to people in crisis. There’s no better time to reach out than now. Please see list of items they urgently need here: Hamilton Foodbank
Our drop off/collection point is on the labelled desk in the office near the crèche.
Finally:
“Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven’’ Matt 5:14-16 [MSG]
Thank you.
Blessings!

So important to reach our neighbors in need. What a great outreach. Bring diapers and toilet paper and Kotex.
